Proof Photo Posted Viper's 2008 Dodge Viper SRT-10 (A 17+ Year Dream Come True!)

Yes, I finally bought my dream car! No proper proof picture yet (I'll do that this weekend) but I know all of the IRC folks are clammering for pictures so I'm making the thread early.

I spent pretty much all day today driving it. Put roughly 70 miles on it (barely any freeway) and used half a tank (aka ~7 gallons) worth of gas. Glug glug.

And here's a picture showing rear tire width vs. my iPhone 4. Tires are 275/35-18 in the front and 345/30-19 in the rear. That's 13 inches wide!

There is no replacement for displacement.
    - Wolfgang Bernhard, then Chief Operating Officer, Chrysler Group talking about the Dodge Viper SRT-10
... I ask Herb Helbig, vehicle synthesis manager for SRT and a member of the original Team Viper development group since day one, if they'd ever thought of adding traction control. "It comes with two," he says, pointing at my feet. "Learn to use them." Got it.

Finally, a truly appropriate use of this:

      Congrats on living the dream.

Edit: Just watched the video, I like how you are sitting the car like you belong, with the arm on the sill, like a boss

How long until you get less than 5mpg?

Congratulations dude. Lots of hard work paid off for you. I hope you have many happy hours driving it. Keep this thing from being wrapped around a pole... PLEASE!

I wasn't paying much attention in IRC, so I thought you were just doing a track day in a viper, not that you had actually bought one!

                    Congrats, dude!
