Ownership Verified: '77 Zastava 101 "The Flying Shite"

I'll try the bumpers on again before a decision is made, but as I said, it's a quick job.

I wanted other rims for the X1/9 anyways, so they could stay on the Zastava.

Hm... undecided. Would need to see both options. But why not. If it looks awesome on the 205 it could look awesome on the 101 :p

Old Cibies would look nice on it. Selective yellow would be period correct too (and purposeful on fog lights).

Do it up like Clarkson did the Escort Mexico in the Heritage Racing thing:

I can't remember that segment... which episode?

Lots of racing parts exist for the car but things stay to get quite expensive quickly...1000 ? for a sport suspension is a bit out of proportion at the moment ;)

Today I learned the X1/9's rear struts are the same as the 128's front struts, only shorter...that might do the trick, I'll check on the weekend.

Just a quick mock up:

evenly lowered around 35mm

only front lowered around 60mm

A little Photoshop foolin'...

The fiat parts bin is quite interesting.... :)

The X1/9 was to be called the 128 Spider anyways, internal model name is 128AS. But then they took the even more internal development name and made it the official name.

The X1/1 became the 128, the X1/2 the Autobianchi A112, X1/3 = Fiat 130, X1/8 became X1/20 and was called Lancia Beta Monte Carlo!

Public, maybe a bit too subtle, but the general idea is good.

I'd buy one for a dollar... Black logo on a green shirt, saying TEAM ZASTAVA on it?

Unfortunately it'll be a damn sight more than a dollar if I put it up for sale. :p
