Brilliant last lap. Very pleased that the Volvo got a podium finish, didn't expect that from a newcomer due to how the Nissans and Mercedes have performed.
 
I managed to miss the whole first race and half of the second race but I saw that last lap, great stuff. :D

With the current regs, its actually pretty easy for a new manufacturer to come in, if they throw their support behind an established team. GRM are using the same basic underpinings as last year, just with some pretty new blue bodywork. It would seem that the Yamaha V8 is a goer out of the box, which couldn't be said for either the Merc or Nissan engines.
 
Apparently the new surface is nice and grippy but is making the cars edgier and harder to balance. Certainly sets up nice for qualifying tomorrow.
 
Looking forward to a good weekend in front of the TV for this. Hoping Frosty can make it back to back wins!
 
That was some truly disgraceful behavior behind the safety car and turn 2 could only be in a worse state if a sinkhole opened up. Rest of the race should be good!
 
This is a pretty cool stop. Disc replacements, starter motor replacements. It's going to be a crazy restart.
 
Yes. All 8 hours. Nail-biting stuff towards the end...happy with the outcome, shattered for Frosty though.
