Mercedes lock-out of the front, but both Ferrari's look good (Vettel was the only driver in the 16s in Q2) and both RBRs looked sharp in Q3, as well. Rain expected, so could be exciting.

I don't have a particular problem with the duller tracks such as Spain but I was disappointed by how the race turned out just in terms of Ferrari's performance. Hamilton drove off into the distance which maybe shows he's forgotten how to drive in traffic and Vettel got a pretty decent start. Things went down hill after Kimi had issues and retired and then Vettel went from 2nd to 4th thanks in part to a slow pitstop under the safety car.
Really shows how quickly these championships can turn around since a commanding lead in the championship became a commanding deficit thanks to a lock up and a pitstop.

the race showed how pirelli should just stick to 3 types of tires, especially if there are only 8 days of testing (4 of which were held in the snow)
the teams simply don't have the knowledge about the tires, and the red one is just crap altogether

that's also mercedes' problem... they're no faster than the pack, until they by accident manage to switch on the tires, and suddenly they're half a second faster than anyone can manage
