It looks that when the wheel is fasten and the gun goes this fin locks the wheel. Then when they want to unfasten the wheel it unlocks just when gun goes on. Simple but helpful.
Sorry for double post, but does anybody know how these new Ferrari wheels works? Is it some substitute for wheel covers? It helps airflow around the wheel or sucks air into the wheel to cool the brakes?
And it's not really a wheel cover, as it looks to be part of the wheel itself (welded on). If Ferrari were to use it, maybe they can pass it off as a cool new wheel design.
That is one weird exhaust pipe shell design. It's probably to channel air to the rear winglet or something. And McLaren still have the round part in their diffuser.
