BBC Channel Youtube - IP LOCK Tests

This is BBC Worldwide:

Everybody should be able to view this, I hope.

Is this one working for everyone worldwide? :?

This is BBC UK:
The Graham Norton chat show with Tom Cruise only aired on Friday 30th May and in the USA this weekend, I understand.

Is this one IP locked outside of the UK (or USA)? :?

Test and replies please!

YT works. gfycat doesn't

I'm just putting a link within URL tags behind this line to test the theory that the problems with the forums are related to that:

CNN

OK, with the URL as last entry there seems to be no issue. Now let's see what's happening when I put the link somewhere in the text...

I used the unfurl (embed) tester on that URL but it errors out:

The following error occurred while fetching metadata from URL https://www.cnn.com/
Could not fetch metadata from URL with error: File is too large.

Google works fine:

Search the world's information, including webpages, images, videos and more. Google has many special features to help you find exactly what you're looking for.

So it's not the code that makes these:

That explains why YouTube links with identical code didn’t get the little previews where those posted by others did.

OK, in the first post I just put "www.cnn.com" in the without https in front of it. In the second post I actually put in the whole URL including https between the tags.

Mind you, I don't use the buttons in the reply field, instead I write the tags manually.

I don't use any BBCode either -- I just paste URLs on their own line and let the forums take care of embedding it as a video, embedding the link preview, etc.
