Server load has been rather high as of late. :(
 
I am having a problem but it is browser specific: whenever I try to open other threads in new tabs in Firefox, it takes forever and finally it shows a dialog screen asking what do I want to do I with the .php file.
If I try the same on Konqueror (I am running Linux), everything works perfectly. Any suggestions?
 
Hmm, works fine here. I just did it. Occasionally the site will timeout and I'll have to hit "Try Again", but that's all. :?
 
The post count is stored in the user's table and is +1'ed each time someone posts. This is so that the huge post table doesn't have to be searched each time the total posts needs to be found.

Seems though that the +1 didn't work when that post was made.

Nothing I can do though as it's phpBB and not my code. phpBB3 comes out soon anyway, so I'm not gonna worry about it. ;)
 
Jan 1st, 1970 = a Unix timestamp of 0. Just a temporary issue that there's no need to worry about unless it keep happening. :)

Yeah, gallery and lfs.finalgear.com both appear to have died.

I will be moving them over to the new servers shortly.
 
I don't know if this is a bug or not, but every time I come back here, it shows the "new responce" icon next to every thread. They never go away. It makes it pretty hard to see what I have not looked at or what new replies there are.
 
I was browsing around the main site while the forum was down and noticed some bugs:

Some of the links on the FAQ point to old phpBB php files (such as viewtopic.php), so the links are broken.

The CAPTCHA image on the contact form aint workin

Just thought you'd want to know Viper :)

Never bothered to change them as there was a 404 script at forum.finalgear.com that translated the requested URL to vB format and then redirected over here. :)

Should be doing that again soon. ;)

New box is missing GD (image creation script), but should have it shortly.

Just an observation - for the header image on the main site, exactly every other refresh shows the powersliding F430 for me. Perhaps there's an issue with the randomization script?

Also, the link to all the header images (from the Sick of that Viper thread) seems to be broken.

Edit: Also, the confirmation emails for new registrations are taking abnormally long to send.

Refreshing should show the exact same image if it's working right because the outputted HTML is cached and then served (but each page will be different). Basically, the "randomness" output is cached.

Anyway, I think it's a problem with eAccelerator caching the cache directory or something. Known issue, being worked on.

I don't use that script anymore. Switched to a different method.
