Last movie you saw?

She has a very Kate Beckinsale look about her. I approve.

Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000)
Watched it again and I must admit I don't remember it being so silly back in the day.

Oh man, it's great. :D

And don't forget Kevin Spacey before he got famous.

Chicken People

The reviews say Best in Show, but with chickens, and real. Not too far off.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Despite being a big fan of the Harry Potter series of books and movies, I somehow managed to go into Fantastic Beasts without expecting it to include a social message. I thought it would just be a vehicle for Warner Bros to sell merchandise. I should have known Joanne Rowling's writing would be deeper than that. I should have realised that she wouldn't return to the Wizarding World unless she actually had something to say. I went in expecting a fantastical comedy-adventure and was also treated to a brilliantly-crafted allegory about the sources of terrorist radicalisation. The film is literally about how intolerance of those who are different can create a monster.

Hardcore Henry (it's finally on Netflix Canada).

I liked it, it was basically what I expected, super predictable, but entertaining. I did like the Jimmy twist quite a lot.

I'm wathing the D. Craig Bonds now. Starting from Spectre and back to Casino Royale. Finished Skyfall yesterday. Spectre being the worst Bond of Craig era... To bad, but I think they rushed with it, that's the problem. Even Quantum Of Solace is miles better then Spectre. It it would have been as good as QOS or at least just a bit better than we would have the best one actor Bond movies in one row. :)

QOS is pretty solid, great ending to the story of Casino Royale.

I started watching the Brent movie, I dunno if I can continue. Or leave it alone and be happy with the memories, of what the character was... 15 years ago.

Rogue One. Not perfect in all respects, but quite good, and visually absolutely stunning - imho it makes a great combination of old-school SW world design and modern CGI capability. And the third act pretty much is perfect. I might go for a rewatch in a couple weeks to focus on some details I think I missed.

Can confirm, Rogue One is a solid film with some entertainment, and the gap between Episode III and IV has been filled. :)
Nice to see a movie without the usually unevitable romantic involvement of the two main characters...

It's a very big gap of about 20 to 25 years, of which only the last couple years have been filled?

I think there is waay much more to say than only this small but important subject.

(for those who only stick to the movies and are not aware of the lore mentioned in the books and cartoons and whatever.)
