Gran Turismo 5

Yeah, but we don't know whether this is a standard or a premium car, so this one having an interior basically proves nothing I'm afraid.

Compare to the other official NASCAR game (the one that's set up in the Hall of Fame):

Hope the sounds are up to snuff.

hate how those Smoqu Gaming videos from E3 all seem to have rubbish music playing rather than feed from the camera or in this case the game, know it will be mostly ambient noise from E3 but there is at least the chance we get to hear the game every now and again

I've watched numerous iRacing videos and the cars all appear to slide a little bit more than I would expect. I realize that at the limit a car is going to slide on it's tires a bit, but it looks exaggerated.

iRacing's slip angle model is just slightly out of whack. It causes people to operate on the "scary" side and down to the limit, rather than the "safe" side up to the limit. This is caused by a lack of empirical data on the scary side from tire manufacturers. It's empirical up to the limit, but beyond it's just a guess as to the actual curve of the grip force versus slip angle and slip ratio (the slip ratio, especially, needs a ton of work - you can't even do a burnout in the 300 horsepower Radical!). Which is why the game feels so good up till about 97%, which is when the guesstimated factors start coming in. In layman's terms, the amount of grip lost by going over the limit is not as much as the amount of grip lost by staying under it.

They're working on getting empirical data with their own tire torture device.

The 787B and Spirit R RX7 have been confirmed to be premium, and the Furai has a very likely chance of being so. :)

Some interviews from E3 2010:

Interview with Kazunori from G4TV:

Morgan Webb:

Interview from IGN:

I just realized something. Perhaps I'm late to the party on it, but I don't think I've seen anyone mention this. I've seen video and picture of both the NASCAR Car of Tomorrow and stock cars with the slat spoilers (in fact the Gamestop pre-order car is a Toyota sporting a slat spoiler). Does this mean we'll see both the CoT and old style (Winston Cup/Nextel Cup) cars? Or are the slat spoilers Nationwide cars (as they're not running the CoT)? If it is Sprint Cup and Nationwide, does this mean the possible inclusion of the Truck Series (or at least maybe a possible DLC pack)? Or maybe a future inclusion of the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger cars as DLC?

I hope not. More group C please!!

The COT switched back to plate spoilers this season, so they probably updated the model.

Does it include The Race to the Chase for the Quest for the Cup for the thing?

I feel compelled to post some 787B porn...

As dedication to the sexiest looking and sounding racecar ever made. :)

Hear that?
It?s the sounds of thousands of petrolheads bursting with desire.
