I have no idea about how Haribo is outside of Germany but similar products from other countries in the supermarket shelves here usually taste awful or have a nasty, sticky mouth feeling.
Well, we also get the "real stuff" here in shops and on farmer's markets. Maybe it's because I grew up with Haribo and Katjes but none of it has convinced me yet.
So, I bought these from a local drugstore as a alternative to my usual Hot Tamalies:
They were OK, not as spicy as my usual Hot Tamalies which was a bit of a disappointment tbh, I was hoping for more heat, the fact that "fire" was in the name didn't help.
Would I buy again, sure, but they won't replace what I normally get.
