Compared to the republicans? You need to look back at the hypocrisy from the 90s.

Interrobang;n3554074 said:I guess you mean "high taxes", not taxes generally. No country can function without taxation of some form or level. The only Countries that have tried a no-tax approach are Comunist countries. Like North Korea. And of course NK is a great example for a functioning country https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxation_in_North_Korea
What measurements does one apply to find out how well a country functions? I'd argue Corrpution is a good indicator and Denmark (as well as other "high taxes" Nations) from Northern Europe do very well in that aspect while some of the lowest taxed nations like China, Russia or Irak - do very badly there.

Dunno bout your town in NYC sidewalks are to be taken care of by property owners adjacent to said sidewalk.93Flareside;n3554077 said:Is it? I contribute to society via VOLUNTARY transactions, why should my labor be taken from me by force? That's the point. It's "I'd rather see civilisation gone then to contribute to society." - throwing us all back to 3000 BC. Yeah, around the Time writing became a thing People did. But sure, these people without taxation were probably much better off then we are now. Better not invest in this thing called civilisation, who knows where that may lead humanity
