To be fair, there is a Tripoli in northern Lebanon, its just not where Big G lives.

BBC News - Rebels overrun Gaddafi compound
In this fast moving story, it seems quite old news now.
I will start believing that Tripoli has been won, when the area around the international journalists' Hotel is free to used by the news crews and there is no more shooting going on in the city.
Also, when a news crew does a live broadcast from the middle of Sirte, I still have heard nothing from that area.

Pres. Sarkozy is probably going to come out of this looking quite well, as is PM Cameron. But, the fighting is not over yet and there are likely to be more surprises.
And LOL at Sarkozy as "Super Rambo".

This really calls for e-papers. I mean this morning I read my paper, and it says Seif el-Islam is captured. Then I turn on my TV, and there he is waving "Hello!" to me. :lol:
A PR blunder and propaganda fail, big time. Still don't know what the story was there, NTC looked like idiots late last night.
Also CNN have for some reason switched from CNNi to CNN USA on my TV, and it's shit. CNN International is good and a bit boring like news are supposed to be, CNN USA is just loud. Good thing there's Al-Jazeera, hands down the best channel when it comes to the middle east.
I usually watch Al-Jazeera for breaking news in the Arab speaking world, they seem have more assets better placed to cover the story. (They & others can be biased, as in Baharain.)
Also, the SKY News reporter going out live from the compound, was standing next the statue of the 1986 Regan bombing of Libya, she described the F-111* on top, as an APACHE HELICOPTER.
Now let's see what'll happen as the situation stabilises. We're going to have to find someone new to pay to keep the refugees out from the mediterranean eventually, our floating fence isn't online yet. If we can leech away their oil money, and then use that to pay someone to keep the refugees out, it'll cost nothing!
* Likes AiR's cunning plan *
EDIT: * OK, the airplane is or could be a sytilzed A-6 and F-111 combination, both were used on the raid, but it is not a rotary wing either way.
