Descending out of the high 30s (thousand feet) on the arrival into LAX
 
Since that was taken with a Canon DSLR, I think he's safe in regards to "being on the phone while flying" :D
 
...and pilots only order the autopilot to do things anyway so they don't have anything else to do other than setting a course, don't they? :p
 
Haha, well looks like you all took care of that answer! :p The regulations just state you can't use a mobile device that can transmit or receive a signal while you're flying - and that only really applies to commercial operators. Since we're private, we can do pretty much what we want, so long as its within the reasonable realm of safety. Up at cruise flight, its no big deal. On short-final about to land? Not so much...
 
Yeah, just after. That was right before it started raining, so the clouds made it slightly darker.

Also, I'm still in central Finland...
