Lens Flair

A few days ago, Walt Disney World put on a special demonstration for the release of Rogue One. I was lucky enough to score an invite. We knew that Spaceship Earth would look like the Death Star, but we didn't know it would fire!

My newest toy is an Irix 15mm f/2.4 for my Nikon D610. I was looking for a lens that might be able to replace my much beloved but often only shot at 14mm Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8. One large upside to the Irix lens is that it mounts 95mm filters, whereas the Nikkor lens requires a $250 kit before you can even think about mounting filters, and they're 145mm filters which are INSANELY expensive. I like to keep ND filters in my bag for when I shoot fireworks.

Last night, the Irix arrived and was taken for its first test drive in EPCOT. I was going to do fireworks, but weather decided otherwise. I have another FastPass+ reservation for them tonight and for Thursday night as well. The weather did help with clouds, though:
