I'm gonna get the G7 since it's wroth more. Than maybe ebay it.
 
The G5 doesn't use a standard cord. It's woven and won't pull. Not to mention I've used a wired mouse my whole life and I've never had any issues as I position the cord well.

Oh, and I already have a great Logitech keyboard and wireless keyboards are pointless for me as I never go anywhere with it.
 
If you find yourself missing the back/forward buttons, try installing a Mouse Gestures extension for Firefox. I love mouse gestures to death!

I'm loving the forward/back functions. I dont quite know how to use the rest of them though.
