RANT: Does anyone make a laptop with a keyboard that *doesn't* suck?

Yeah, Model M (and licensed reproductions like Das Keyboard and Unicomp) are the best you can get. But at 2.5 kilo and the size to go with it, my Model M is just a bit too bulky for travel duty. Thus it is demoted to being the most awesome HTPC emergency interface ever.

Das Keyboard uses switches not springs. Unicomp owns the rights to the Model M as they are a spun off of Lexmark who inherited the rights after they were spun off from IBM.

My work keyboard, which I'm using now, uses springs <3.

Funnily enough I'm not the biggest fan of the chiclet kbd despite being a Mac user. Tho I have not had to type all that much outside of forums/IMs so I don't even know the kbd shortcuts beyond the usual.

It wouldn't bend into a rolled up cylinder otherwise, the space bar would be too stiff :D
