I don't think I was given a 10, so he got a 5. I'll pop into the Vodafone store and maybe Carphone Warhouse tomorrow, It makes no sense how a third party and a new contract is cheaper.
 
why not take the watch and sell it, it takes off 10 GBP a month if it's a 2 year contract

The watch has terrible reviews, I'd maybe get ?150 for it. Which knocks ?6 a month off.


I wanted it in white, but thats Carphone exclusive and you only get 1GB of data.

However today Vodafone have updated their site so it's available at ?39.50 (+?19 for phone) 4GB of data instead of 7GB and 6 months of bundle crap instead of 24. If I then knock ?6 off that, then it's not a bad deal. Does anyone need 7GB of data? Wifi is everywhere.

He waived the massive ?19 phone cost. Then he reminded me about the Employee Discount Scheme, if a friend works for one of many retailers, they can get you 20% off.

So it's ?31 a month, before I sell the watch. Which is a bloody good deal.


I took about an hour, plus the 45 mins yesterday. He only knocked me ?19 off, but he reminded me about the 20% off which I forgot about.


My Nexus 6 arrives after Dec 5th. :mrgreen:

um, you do know the reviews are bullshit, the watch runs fine, i own one and its had 2 updates which has made it awesome? you'd get near retail price for it...

Really? I don't wear watches. As I have a phone, but I have a couple of weeks until the phone and watch arrives. I'll check out a couple of videos.

Yeah, the updates have apparently helped a lot, especially with battery life. Only a few people have gone back and re reviewed it since launch.

a while ago i rooted my phone...

...and since then my phone is case sensitive

so in the app drawer (ADW launcher) apps that start with a lower case letter (iCoyote, gReader) are listed at the back
but worse, even the album list in mediamonkey is sorted in first all higher case, then all lower case

very annoying!!!

no idea if the rooting should have any effect on this, or it's because sth else i did, but anyone an idea how to make in not case sensitive?

(could the xPosed framework might have anything to do with this?)

Sounds like completely an ADW launcher issue. Maybe there was an update to it at the same time that you rooted. Did you switch to it after rooting?
 
i've been using ADW for a few year, also had it before i rooted it

and if it were simply ADW, mediamonkey wouldn't behave the same, would it?

EDIT: and i just checked, the sense-launcher also is case sensitive

Ok time for another noob question from me. All this Android 5 stuff has me very interested, mainly because pretty and new and shiny, but also because it should perform better on low hardware phones. As I only boast 512mb of RAM I need all the help I can get....
Phone is on 4.2 and has never received an update ota,.. Is there a way I can put (preferably bloatware free) 4,4 or 5 on there? Or does it need root, increasing my chances of bricking it immensely?

I also dont want case sensitive apps either :p

don't be afraid of root. it always asks you when some app wants root-access
if you didn't expect that question, click no, and you're safe.

android isn't like windows where you put in a cd, and press install
someone, somewhere must feel it worthy to make a custom rom (by means of witchcraft), modelled to your phone, which runs any of those versions, and you have to install that rom

i haven't been able to find a working rom with android 4.4 for my one V :(
