because JC was paid a trillion zillion pounds more than James and Richard, so Andy decided to get him to do everything~?

Jeremy brought the show up, he is the main guy of the show, he deserves it.
yes james and hammond are ofcourse important to, and james rocks, but still jeremy is the main guy.

Great episode, loved the Alfa sounds awesome and would love one.
The whole team works so well together, of course Jeremy is the main focus but I think James is a little underrated especially with his subtle sense of humor.

First time in a long time I enjoyed the star in a reasonably priced car.

The race was great, i was actually hoping the car would lose.

My favourite reviews are when they actually go out and road test cars, not just hurl them around the track. And James is excellent for this.

Also even watched SIARPC for the first time in ages......I'm against the segment all together.

I'm fully with you there. When they were on the Isle of Man with the Boxster, Z4 and S2000 was a superb example of what we need in the show. Three cars many of us can/may buy (or have) tested in a real world environment by the most entertaining motoring journo's on TV. I'd happily sacrifice SIARPC for that, and TGSM.

Perfect formula....

Open - One of them (needn't be JC, but he can do more) tests something exotic on track, followed by a Stig lap.

News

10 mins of dicking about

Pt.1 of group test in some nice (not necessarily exotic) location

SIARPC or similar

A bit more dicking

Pt.2 of group test

Cool wall or similar

Finale of dicking

See you next week, thank you and goodnight.

IMHO :p

I loved it! I love the races, no matter how scripted and pre-planned they are. I love Jeremys quote though:

"Sarah Jessica Parker looks like a boiled horse" - what was a magic expression. How much do you want one of those 8Cs? The truly are pornography.

9/10 from me

The race was great second time round. I didn't enjoy it so much on the first viewing but appreciated it more after watching again. It felt more enclosed I guess as it was short and stayed within one country, not on the epic scale of the European races. Odd thing was that we missed Jezza driving most of the way there as suddenly he was in Tokyo. I think they should have made it into a Japan special to be honest as a lot must have been edited out to get it down to 30 mins and also Japan is such a important force in the auto industry that the country deserves more TG exposure.

Anyway, this PRICK and his RX-8 loved it....wish I had a GTR though

Awesome episode in a long while! And that Alfa... seriously, makes me want to squeeze one off before I go to bed each night. Gorgeous.

Music During GT-R Race

Music During GT-R Race

Guys,

This is going to sound pretty naff, but I'm curious if anyone knows what the background music was towards the end of the GT-R race? If it helps, it's @ 1:45 here...

http://youtube.com/watch?v=dngclOWoGu4

I tried Sony Ericsson TrackID on it, but it didn't find a match.

I know I've heard it before, but I don't know what it is. Any pointers would be exceptionally appreciated...

... looking at the poll, this episode is doing very well indeed ...

I?ve also rated it 9/10 ... loved the 8C review (till think the Maserati GT is the prettier car, but the Alfa is gorgeous, no shadow of a doubt - and by the sound of what Jc said, it?s a TRUE alfa ), funny news, the guests were charming ... the race had some moments that didn?t really feel genuine ... but it was still very entertaining ...

I think the 355 is not a really pretty car ... pretty, but not pretty enough.

Last really pretty Ferrari IMO was the 456 ... and before that, you?d again have to go back to the 60ies to find another really pretty one (365) ...

I agree with you on the 456.

To my eyes though the F40 is the perfect Ferrari.

Sat down to enjoy the episode only to find that BBC Scotland decided to show some awful bands at T-In The Park instead of Top Gear.
Just took a look at the line-up and I must say there's some pretty good bands there!
But I'm sorry you couldn't watch top gear. I could, at BBC err... Well... UK. From the Netherlands.
Eitherway, laughed my pants of. It was hilarious!
I loved the way the 8C looked. Usually not into fast looking cars (I love the Citro?n Visa and Renault 5, nuff said), but this was true Italian beauty. Great!
The news: I'm sure they showed pr0n again, given the reaction of the Audience. The "pure pornography" car was, in my opinion, done afterwards by montage.

The race rocked! Great fun with those 'stupid' japanese.
Didn't like the car. I don't like Japanese cars. Cars with soul come from europe. Got to be careful there, since I drive a Vauxhall Astra. Not even for practical reasons, I really love that car ;D.

Best episode of this series, by kilometres! (yah, metric).
Wonder what's coming next.
I'll be watching this one again, this friday ;D.
That's good about living in The Netherlands
- Fresh Top gear on Sunday at 9pm
- Really old top gear at a channel called "Veronica"on friday at 9pm
- Immediately after that a repeat of the latest top gear
- Fresh Top Gear on Sunday at 9pm

Top Gear Weekend, Yeah ;D

Edit: I forgot. SIARPC wasn't that good. They were quite fun, but I really didn't like their girly attitude. Blah. Drove rather well, though
'GET IN THIRD!"
I just don't get how people don't get that ;D

Does anyone know what the music is during the part where jeremy is road testing the alfa, specifically when he is saying "toyota is the brain, aston martin is the face"?.

Regards, 515

So he just happens to get lost for 45 minutes, so it comes down to a close finish?

Very funny show, as always.

I don't know who the guest were, but the one of the left (Kate?) was very hot. I noticed that he didn't mark her time as very wet, but he did the other one.

I was pretty disappointed with this episode. It had a few good points (the Alfa and the SIARPC), but thenews and the entire Japan race were, at best, mediocre IMO. It just seemed to go on, and on...the first coupl of minutes and the last couple of minutes were okay...but otherwise, wandering through Japanese train stations gets boring really quickly.

Just a little bit of trivia.. 167 have voted a 10, 162 voted a 9... but adding up every vote and dividing it by the number of votes recieved give the show a rating of....

3879/432 = 8.979167

So looks like 9 (rounded) is the overall rating... Very solid!
