Food! [The thread that started this section]

Chop some garlic..

..some onions..

..chicken..

..put it in a pan or wok and roast it..

..then add chickpeas..

..carrots..

..and sultanas..

..then coconut milk..

..a whole lot of curry and other spices, whatever suits your taste..

..then boiled rice..

..fiddle a bit more with the spices..

..to give it more colour and let it thicken..

.. and there you go, simple yet delicious.

Wow...looks really good. :)

I'm sorry, but that looks like a plate of puke.

 Yeah, looks kinda iffy, but that's often the thing with this mashed stuff. Smell and taste tho, that's a different story..

Perhaps this is a bit more up your alley:

;)

/sign. And I hate those stupidly cutted carrots.

Mh well, pre-packed stuff.. couldn't be bothered to re-design them.

^ Looks good Polly, as did your mashed up dish up top.

I'm currently boiling some pasta. It's 3am, so even this is taking a lot of effort. :|

My super meatball recipe!

My super meatball recipe!

My best recipe ever, imho. Italian style meatballs.
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3099.JPG
The stuff you need: Mince (i used beef), eggs, pecorino cheese, butter, breadcrumb, olive oil, pasta, cream cheese, italian herbs and spring onions.
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3100.JPG
First up, grate the pecorino cheese (look, oldschool grater, cool huh!)
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3101.JPG
Yummy! Now set it aside and try not to eat too much of it.
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3102.JPG
Rinse your spring onions (mud = YUCKY)
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3103.JPG
Chop off the ends and cut off the white parts.
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3105.JPG
Finely chop these (me being the lazy bum i am, i used my Bosch multi-tool thingie).
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3106.JPG
Action shot of me pressing the buttons (yes, cooking is hard work)
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3107.JPG
Chop up the green bits a bit larger.
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3108.JPG
Put meat, eggs, cheese, chopped up white bits from the spring onions, breadcrumb and Italian herbs in a large mixing bowl, and mix.
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3109.JPG
And again, me being the lazy bum i am, i let a machine do the dirty work for me.
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3110.JPG
This is what you should end up with after a few minutes of mixing
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3111.JPG
Roll the meat into snack-sized balls.
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3113.JPG
heat up a few pans and put in some olive oil and butter.
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3114.JPG
In go the balls.
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3115.JPG
Open up a bottle of white wine
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3117.JPG
Pour yourself a glass, cheers!
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3118.JPG
And the balls also like some wine. Don't be shy!
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3119.JPG
Add in the cream cheese and stir.
https://pic.armedcats.net/a/an/anonymous/2008/05/14/100_3120.JPG
Serve with pasta of your choice (i chose farfalle) and another glass of wine.

Buon apetito, eet smakelijk, enjoy!

Damn Adu, that looks deee-licious, as that bitch Rachael Ray would say.

Also, I don't see anything old school about your grater. Aren't they all like that? :?

Well, i meant it more as "hey look, non-powered kitchen utensils!" :p
(and i also have one of those new-fangled design thingies with attached box to hold the grated cheese, but i prefer this one)

Looks great, enjoy the 'adult' cooking. I guess soon you'll be serving mostly these:
