Watch BBC2 on the Web ??

Interstingly (only really for UK users - and those with a UK proxy) it looks like this series of Top Gear is stacked on the iPlayer - so you'll be able to watch any episode in the series until the end of the series.

So episode one is still available for another 56 days - which (if you trust my crappy maths) would mean 10 episodes this series.

Episode 2 was on available for HTTP download 34 minutes after the episode ended today, and presumably the torrent even earlier. I can cope with that for much better quality.

Are you bearing in mind the usual "best of Top Gear" episodes which, bizarrely, the BBC count as new episodes?

Strangely, talking about IPs: they are moving the mainframes I work on from the UK to Switzerland but not changing the IPs - wonder how that is done, anyone know?

BGP routing.. if you own your netblock you can route it wherever the hell you like.

IPs aren't actually geo-locked, but they are assigned to companies/registrars (like ARIN, APNIC, RIPE etc) who reside in those countries, so chances are pretty high they'll be allocated and kept within them.

It's no different to how you can do global roaming on your mobile phone. You may have a UK phone number, but the phone will still ring when you're in Australia as the traffic is just routed somewhere else.

is there no live feed for bbc 2 so i can watch top gear live ??

Surf The channel has TG epps, they used to have heaps of old ones, but now they only have a few, but they have the new ones

http://www.surfthechannel.com/show/61025.html

they dont actually host it them selves, but they compile the links which is good so they are in one spot.

the links are to Megavideo for the new ones, so they are quite good quality, and not in tiny pieces like youtube.

here is season 12 episode 1:

http://www.megavideo.com/?v=506SL282

and season 12 episode 2:

http://www.megavideo.com/?v=MTQIDT2N

I know its not a LIVE feed or anything but i hope i have been of some assistance :D

p.s. ive tried using a proxy, but can find a good one, and i use hotspot shield, which works for getting HULU vids from outside of the US, but this doesnt work for the BBC iPlayer.
