It can be both. There's freeroll games and tournaments (costs nothing) and then cash games which require a US$50 deposit up front, but then you can enter as many games as you like until that figure is exhausted (if you're unskilled enough! :lol. Just need to download the software from the Full tilt website and it's as easy as that.
