Maserati has just announced that they will introduce the new Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S at the North American International Auto Show next month. The V8 executive car was designed to be ?a real driving machine in the guise of a luxury saloon.?

In attempt to show off Maserati's sport heritage, the new Quattroporte Sport GT S will see a boost in power from its 4.7-litre V8. The new model will get 433 hp, up from the 400 hp generated off the current 4.2-litre V8. Meanwhile, new dampers, dropped body, and stiffer springs factor in with the upgraded front and rear suspension system. Improvements have also been made to the gearshift software, and the exhaust system.

Maserati was also trying to add more aggressive elements to the new model by ratcheting on a new grille, metallic-titanium look headlights, and black detailing around the doors, door handles, and exhaust. New Maserati seats come with both Alcantara and leather, with a titanium-colored finish on the trim.

The new Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S will debut in Detroit on Monday, January 12.

I personally think this is rather tacky and overkill, but I'm sure there are many people that would disagree with me.

Maserati must've overlooked the memo about the economy.

Sorry, but I don't care for the new lights, especially the rear.

I think it looks alright. Rear lights have to go, though.

I personally think it looks awesome... Not sure about the seats, but otherwise...

btw, if somebody finds that first pic in higher res (maybe 1280x800) that would be great, for wallpaper...

Love it. I don't think it looks tacky at all? Perhaps even more classy then before.

Love it.

Hmmm what are the old ones going for second hand like $40k? :p

Still very classy car the seats are making me :jawdrop:

Once again, Porsche and AM need to take notes: HOW TO BUILD A PROPER 4 DOOR SPORTS CAR

I approve - looks fantastic, I often see a regular one across the road from my work.

Fuck the economy.

Absolutely!

I couldn't disagree more with every negative comment in this thread. This car is perfect. They got it all right with this current revision.

It is perfect. The end.

+1 The first model's headlights were a *bit* finnicky looking. Can't really place what it was. But this car is damn near perfect.

I agree with you guys. Before I would much rather have a Merc S-Class, but they really cleaned up the exterior with this facelift.

Do want.

Yes.

Now hopefully they'll make a stripped-out GranTurismo to compete with the DBS.

I think its up to other manufacturers to compete with this. It really can't be pegged in any one class, that's why I think its such a great car. If I had the money and needed a 4 seater, this would be prime choice.
