10 sportscars for under 10k? : which would you pick?

Don't want to turn this into a 8 series lover topic but while surfing the internet I stumbled upon this BMW 8 series review that Jeremy once did for Top Gear.

Doesn't everyone dream that? And then swap in a M5 V10

V12 > v10... especially when it comes like this

yeah sure, but how long's the original gonna last. Anyway, V10 sound rocks

I'm loving it even more after seeing that video, sad that the CSi-models are pretty rare these days.

Here's the cheapest 850CiA that i found from this local site:

Under 200k on the clock and looks pretty tidy.

Here's another one for example: http://www.nettiauto.com/viewVehicle.php?id_car=2194127

The BMW V12 actually turned out to be fairly reliable when you compare it to all other V12 engines.

Did you notice the two turbochargers in the pic ?

They're reliable when stock, but when it's twinturbocharged, it wont be that for long..

I'd rather plonk the new 6l V12 from the 7 series in slightly tuned form into the 8. Or the rumored 550hp V12 from the M8. V12s just sound better than V10s.

Depends on how nuts you go with it. Still could tune up the V12 for some more naturally aspirated power. Get some custom ground cams and the rest of the heads reworked to support them, proper headers (assuming it doesn't already have a pair), and IT(R)B's and it should be a screamer.

Besides it being a V12, whats so good about an 8 series ?

Hell, even the 840 can probably do it (here the engine isn't bolted on to one though) :p

Go to about 0:58 if you can't be bothered watching stupid Finnish tuner kids

And the V12 still sounds cooler and makes more power....

Ah, but would you replace your MX-5 with one?

No, I would replace my work wagon with a 750... I've been thinking about it or a 740 now on and off.

#1 does not appear in my country.

#2 is a Volkswagen.

#3 looks promising.

#4 is for women or for a mid-life crisis

#5 is for women

#6 I don't like convertibles

#7 would be my pick.

#8 I've no idea what this is

#9 would be my second pick, but god no yellow

#10 I would prefer a real MR-2

To the genius who left me the neg rep saying that the TT is not a VW: it was a derogatory comment and the car was in fact based on the Volkswagen Group A4 platform, same one used for the Golf MkIV. Use your head next time.
