gotta love the rust

Yep, that just some grime, it will buff right out. :p Good that you're dealing with it now, before a taillight falls off.

Nice bimmer, i've always liked the looks of that E30 Body, the interior is really clean, but i'm not feeling the US-Spec bumbers.. M-Tech bumpers and some original BBS-rims would look awesome.

Could you do a choundcheck for us on a video, would be fun to hear how it sounds like, that 4.5krpm redline sounds so strange to me :D

Just got my tail light gaskets, that was definitely the cause of the leaking trunk and rust. Pretty amazing the difference between the new ones and the 22 year old shrunken, dry rotted, and cracked originals.

Now onto the body work, I might just end up painting the rear panel black for now.

I might just get a sound clip the next time I turn it on, for as old as it is, it's fired up on the first crank every time.

At least it's rust free on the outside, next up is the trunk rust.
At some point the car might just get finished and become road legal.

Hang on a second, so it has a 325 badge but in fact is a 2.7 litre engine???

I might just tuck the rear bumper and finish the trim on the back today if it doesn't rain.

Then I have to fill the rust holes below the sunroof drains and the bottom of the spare tire well, fix the horn, get new tires, and then it should pass inspection.

Question of the day bottle caps or steelies?
The bottle caps need 4 tires and the steelies have prius tires mounted on them, but are good.
The prius tires are those low rolling resistance hockey pucks, so it might be interesting for some sideways driving, but would suck at everything else.

Nice E30, I am myself planing on buying a 325 coupe, and then when money comes, swap the motor for M30B35, ohyeah

gonna steal this picture

Amazing what a few days worth of work can accomplish, the dash is still cracked, but so are most e30's

One more proud E30 driver ;-)
Looks nice!
Sadly I have the wrong engine. i like my 1.8 4 cylinder but the 325i is just great!

Have fun with it..

What possessed you to put those hideous yellow headlamps? I know it's popular on old Beemers, but I think it looks absolutely terrible. How do they look at night?
