Spied: Spy Shots of new Jaguar XJ (No, that isn't a BMW)

I for one am glad that Jaguar have returned to the philosophy of Jaguar designs of the past, rather than trying to rehash the same design cues from the sixties that have gone well past their use-by date.

There are a number of things on the XF which aren't quite right (such as the headlights), but the overall design direction is definitely positive.

"Looking like a real Jaguar" is exactly why the current XJ only sold about 3.26 models.

"Looking like a real Jaguar" is also the half-assed thinking that gave us the S-Type.
This. Jaguar, while a company with a long and distinguished history, still has to stay competitive in today's market, such as it is, and that means producing cars that aren't 'ye olde gentlemanlie horselesse carriage'.
Just my 2p's worth.
That Autoexpress render looks rather good. Admittedly it's no C-XF, but so be it.
