Your favourite police show!

The ones I watch in order from favourite to lesser favourite are:

Life On Mars/Ashes to Ashes
Wallander (Sweden)
Wallander (UK)
Traffic Cops

Was just about to post the same as Ephexis, they are far ahead of anything else past and present.

much like everyone else, the Wire remains a show which is lightyears ahead of anything else.

The Shield ftw!
I have also downloaded the first season of "the wire"!

Well, Wallander is awesome! I just checked the Swedish Wikipedia and it looks like there is a new episode/film out for me to watch, woot!:mrgreen::mrgreen:

It's a shame I cannot watch the earlier ones without learning Swedish.

'Baantjer'

I think I'm going to check that out.

I don't know about a favourite cop show, but this would have to be the most memorable scene from an Australian Police show.

NCIS (just finished watching the S07 premiere)
Der Kommissar (simply stunning black and white cinematography)
The Mentalist has some nice episodes - but some are just under-written
The Peter Haber incarnation of Beck, if only for "bad cop" Gunvald and Beck's neighbor.
The "Ruhrpott"-Tatort with Schimanski (G?tz George) and the comedy-laden M?nster-Tatort with Axel Prahl and Jan-Josef Liefers
Bones
