Nice! A few things though:

-Are you running stock compression? If not, did you lower it with different pistons, a thicker headgasket, or what? And if you are running stock compression, how much boost are you planning to put through it?

I havent done anything too the engine itself. Its running stock compression, 9,2:1, most people say thats too high and the engine wont last. But with higher compression comes less turbolag and i have more engines i can put in :p Ill run as much boost as possible :cool: But i think the stock fuelpump runs out at .4-.5bar so well see.

-Also, I'd REALLY like to know where you got that turbo manifold from. It looks almost like a modified stock Sierra one, but with a flange welded on. If it's just a modified stock one, what did you use to weld it? And if it's a modified stock one, I can use my spare manifold to make one aswell :D Also, do you have any better pics of the manifold?

Youre right its just a stock manifold with a flange welded on. I just bought the manifold like this. I dont have any other pictures of it now. Can take some pictures of it in the car. But its really simple. Its just cut away the flange for the standard exhaust and weld on a turboflange instead.

-I suggest you repaint the EFI text on the intake manifold, red doesn't go that well with all the blue silicone hoses, etc. in the bay :)

It goes well with the stripes on the car :p I tought about putting the injectors and regulator on a manifold that hasnt been painted. But i didnt bother :p

-Are you panning on fitting power steering? With that manifold and turbo installation, Im pretty sure you could actually fit the pump&bracket on with very little problems. Most self made turbo manifolds extend too much from the 1. cyl exhaust port, and thus prevent you from fitting stock power steering.

The stock powersteering-pump will be in the way of the turbohoses and would completely block the intake on the turbo. Im hoping to get hold of a cosworth powersteering, because there the pump goes on the other side below the intake.

-Are you running stock injectors (only good for ~170hp) or have you swapped cossie ones in? NVM, Noticed the blue injectors in the pictures ;)

The injectors are from a Saab 900 Turbo. Theyre supposed too be good for a bit over 200hp. But everything else that guy told me turned out too be wrong.

-What turbo? Looks to be roughly the size of a T3. And what kind of power are you aiming to throw down?

The turbo is a TB0355. I have no idea where its from. But its the same as used on Escort RSTs. I dont really care about powerfigures. If i can powerslide it in 2nd gear im happy :D

And if it gets tight, the mounting bracket of the PS pump can be grinded a bit, so you can turn the pump clockwise on it's mounting point, so you can get the top of it away from the turbo. Just mask off the whole top of the manifold, spray some blac paint on the top, and sand off all of the paint on the top, so you end up with a recessed, coloured EFI text :)

Im pretty sure I can weld the manifold with my welder, I tired it on some cast iron today, and I can get the rods to lit up just fine. It's harder to weld than steel, but It'll be manageable..

You don't need to take the intake manifold out of the bay to paint it. I painted mine with it in the car :)

You can weld it, but it wont be a strong weld. It will probably break.
 
Here is a picture of the trunk in my car. It's the same car so I'd expect his to be very similiar. Ignore the bad speaker cables, they are fixed now :)

No rust problems under the licence plate, and those are mk 2 Sierra taillights, so they won't fit my car.
 
Its the mk2 that has the plastic licenseplateholder, but i have never heard of any problems with rust under it. On the mk1 the black part is painted on

welll im not into fords so whats the difrence between mk 2 and mk1? :lol:
mk2 lights are much wider and is a bit different around the corner.
 
Could you ppst a picture of the stock iS injectors if you still have them? I've just realized that ,my injectors look different to ones on a friends car.

Heres a few more pictures of my manifold.
And a picture of the original injectors. Is your friends car a mk2(87-89)? I think those have thinner injectors looking more like most newer injectors. But all the manifolds i have are from 85-86iS-engines.

Get red taillights, they look the business. :) Also, I see what you meant about the power steering pump blocking your air intake. You should relocate the washer fluid resrvoir to the intake side of the engine bay, so you can actually get some room for the airfilter, etc.

I prefer the original look on the taillights ;)
I will probably relocate the washertank later, but now im concentrating on getting it started :)
 
What does it do instead of starting when you try to?
 
Im not getting an rpm-signal. So I think its something wrong with ignition settings or the trigger setup.

I should be able to get at bit over 200hp. Ill try to get it a dynoday next year. Havent gotten it too run yet. As the situation is now i can only work on it in the weekends. So progress is slow. But i have gotten a tip that my triggerwheel might be causing the problem. Too small gaps. Going too measure it this weekend.

You bastard :( :p On a slightly related note. A friend was at my home and drop of about 20 tyres yesterday. So thats one less thing too worry about when i get it started :p
 
Is that 200 crank or rear wheel? Either way it should be capable of it. Mine made 191 rwhp and 260 lb-ft on a lower boost setting than I use now...

Thats at the crank. The fueling doesnt max out until 250 or 270hp depending on how much boost i need to max out the injectors.
