They applied the penalties by the order in which the offense was committed so Rubens sped through the flags first and received his penalty first placing him behind Button. Sutil then took his penalty promoting Button and Rubens then Button took his after Alonso and was effectively screwed. There may have been others I'm not including cause it seriously is fucked up.
Vettel's team radioed him in, "what you are doing is fine, don't push harder."
Seems like Vettel has more room to spare, he is just nursing his car in the first stint to keep the strategy/tactics in check. The team doesn't want him to burn up too much fuel..
Edit : Jenson is in trouble, getting some thick under-steering problem when the car gets in the slipstream.
Yup, Kovalainen didn't need to fight that hard. He is fuelled much longer than Sutil.
Sutil made that move stick, he was clearly ahead of Kovalainen. A racing incident, but can be avoided. Kovalainen pushed way too hard when he shouldn't.
They've been dropping the ball through the season and losing points for silly reasons, I think they wanted to play it safe. Won't change a thing, Vettel has it already.
