I don't think Harrison plays that part. He is playing the acoustic guitar. The part in the beginning is played with a slide.

Yes, indeed he plays the acoustic part. As seen here the electric guitar is, I'm quite sure, a Fender Stratocaster, probably played slide style.

OK, I'm settled that the Harrisson one is a Fender and the Joe South one seems to be some kind of Gretsch guitar

[random music thought] after seven years of listening to death metal all I have to say is: fuck death metal. I deleted 40% of my mehth mehtal last night. Basically got rid of all the standard death (boring, derivative), broodal death (super boring, super derivative), and tech death (unmusical technicality that is both boring and derivative). More space now for moar black metals, rawr.
 
It is great, but it does sound a bit like I'm in an elevator.

Nothing beats this orchestra though.
