Here is a thread for cars your family owns. SO/parents.

I'll start it out.

As some of you know my father was recently looking for a Land Rover for when he returned to the states. After much searching he changed his mind and had me instead buy him an XJ with the venerable 4.0L i6.

The other day I found one for him. It is in good nick, with a couple blemishes and faults (to be expected for a 144k mile car). While he is out and my MG is being worked on this is also functioning as my DD provided I fix the mentioned faults.

Anywho without further ado here it be.

Not the XJ you where expecting is it?

95 XJ6. It may weigh two tons and have the NA motor, but it is amazingly zippy. Or feels that way. The J gate is useless, but for an autotragic the sports mode is not too bad. It is also nice having my old Mustang's steering wheel back.

This thread is still staying here. Easier to collect the garbage which otherwise finds itself within the other threads here.

fiat 600, ford falcon, escort lx, escort clx, all of them chosen by my grandparents
and they are now thinking of getting a focus
my parents never bought any car (actually they didn't even learn to drive)
in my family my grandpa is the only one who can drive (and he's 80yo, I don't know how he does it :p)

Mom drives a 2007 G35 sedan with a slushbox, Dad drives a 2006 Mazdaspeed6 6mt. Both of which are a total blast to drive and I drive them every chance I get.

Mother has a 2 week old subaru outback, dad had the contour before he died.
My family in danvers; aunt has a murano, uncle has a G35 (the only stick in the family), my cousin lauren has an escape she inherited from her uncle on the other side.

If you think about it it's really fucked up. I got my car from my grandmother dying, lauren got hers from uncle den and when robbie gets his license next year he's getting the contour. EVERY TIME SOME NEEDS A CAR THERE IS A DEATH.
My cousin dan turns 16 in 5 years I think...... D:

2009 MB C200CDI A wagon + 1998 Golf IV 1.6 automatic.

06 Astra and 05 Holden Commodore wagon, both auto, mum can't drive a manual. Dad used to have a 2005 Suzuki Swift manual, but he sold it to make way for the Astra.

1997 (or 98, not certain) Volvo 940 2.3 Turbo Estate.

Mom: 2005 RX330 in champagne. Least unique car ever. Drives and looks like a boat, but is quite comfy.

Dad: 2007 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Auto in light blue: much more unique, handles well and is fun to drive for a four-speed slusher.

Back in Abu Dhabi they had:
Mom: 2007 W203 C200 Kompressor: too slow for my mom, comfy and abused by speed bumps causing the suspension to squeak over bumps.
Dad: 2005 E87 BMW 120i Auto: very fun car to drive. 5 door hatch was cramped and not very practical though- JC was right there.

Mom: Silver 2004 RX330. She does have a knack for buying cars that you can easily loose in parking lots, as her last car was a beige 1999 Camry. Before that, maroon 1990 Toyota Corolla, which while in Canada was our only family car.

Dad: Green 2002 Honda Accord LX I4 4AT. Compared to anything on the Camry platform, it's quite fun and almost chuckable. Before that, 1994 Plymouth Voyager, 1980s Plymouth Sapporo (aka Mitsubishi Galant coupe), and two RWD Toyota Celicas. I'm trying to get him to buy a W124 or W140 so he can convert it to biodiesel, as a "green" engineering professor should.

mom has a 1993 Volvo 240GL wagon, dad has a 1993 Volvo 940GL wagon.

Previous family cars have been 1981 VW Transporter, 1982 Chevrolet Beauville with a 350 V8, a older carbed Volvo 245, and a Volvo 145.

can ya tell i'm from a Volvo family? :p

Nothing wrong with lolvos, they're full of lol :p

My Dad previously owned two E30 318is, a 2.0l W201 (crashed...sadly :() and a '93 opel astra 140

mom : Opel Zafira 1.6 petrol
dad : nothing since he's no longer with us
in laws : Ford Fiesta 1.6 petrol

My parents rock a 2.0l Nissan Qashqow with CVT automatic, nothing to write home about there. Not a bad car, pretty comfy and the CVT is nice on the highway, but as with all Renissaultans the seats are too narrow and too short, and due to the hugeass moonroof there is not much headroom leftover. Still, it's better than the Renault Scenic 1.6 they had before.

My wife rocks a 21 year-old Suzuki Swift automatic. Looking for something slightly larger with 4 or more doors currently.

Hum, ready for more boredom?
My dad drives a white Cadillac DTS he won in a contest (can't beat free) although he shares the MGB with my brother who happens to have garage space ATM
My mom's in a Mercedes CLK
Brother has a Range Rover Sport

The only one I've driven is the Merc, which I'm not nuts about. I'm disappointed in myself that I don't know what year any of them are, but my excuse is they were all purchased when I was living out of state.
