Random Thoughts... [Automotive Edition]

A Toyota Yaris Verso with the 85hp 1.3L engine is capable of 195 km/h*. I miss Germany already. :(

*OK, so I was going downhill at the time, but still!

Where you going downhill or where you actualy falling into a ravine?

Drove my absolutely filthy car into a carwash. It's still filthy. The result would've been better if I would just have rubbed the car with the tenner, instead of paying for the wash.

Just haven't got the time to do it by hand, because it's dark and crappy 24/7 here right now.

Touchless carwashes are utter rubbish at cleaning filth, I thought that was common knowledge?

I saw this for sale on pistonheads, and couldn't help but wonder what the hell it was.

I kinda like it in a Death Race/Road Warrior kind of way.

3000 pounds for a '75 [carbaged] Buick? Ha. Haha. Ha. Hahaha.

Poor Buick. :(

That was a Riviera Boat-tail? Shit, poor thing!

Doesn't look like a Riviera. I think it was a later non-boat-tail model. Thank god. A boat-tail is a terrible thing to kill.

Well, yeah, it's just that every time I'm surprised how crappy they are.

In other news, the air vent under the steering column really warms the, uh, cockles of my heart on a cold morning like this.

When we used to own a 2001 Volvo V70XC (before they renamed it the XC70), we were told by the dealer that it had special paint that shouldn't be hit buy a regular car wash, and they recommended a touchless car wash in the next town over. We thought it was just a scam in which they would earn money for every refered Volvo, but we decided to check it out anyways, and the prices were not that bad. It did a semi-decent job cleaning the car too. The owner advertised it as "the first in the new generation of touchless carwash systems" what ever that means.

That being said, it still never cleaned the car better than I could with one of these

respect to all the guys who hand wash their cars regularly
I just can't be arsed (no time and dont really wanna either), especially in wintertime

I just give it a good machine wash + wax and i'm set for winter. With all the dirt and snow and salt and slush, there's no point in washing it every month anyways

Due to the useless carwash removing no dirt but parts of my Mazda badge sticker, I took a hair dryer and took the badge off the trunk. Going to remove the glue remains and replace the badge sticker with a FinalGear sticker.

i want an HSV Clubsport R8 Tourer so badly i would consider murdering people..... i fucking cannot stand living in a country that does not recognize the universal appeal of the Scary Fast Wagon...

I always walk by this car that's been abandoned for a few years by my cottage. Don't know what it is. help?
