They're really trying to cater to a large customer group. Enzo Ferrari is spinning in his grave.

Okay this is not directly linked to the 458 but I don't want to create another thread just for it.
Whats the big thing? You wont believe it. You can get carbon fiber Helmets, and bathrobes but now you can get a "FERRARI SURF BOARD SCUDERIA SPIDER" and for a unbelieveable price!
 Ferrari surfboard....If I had a Ferrari I wont waste my time surfing!

I can't help thinking Ferraris need to sound more like this:

Wow that sounds good. Way better than the F430/360 for sure.

I don't know about you, but I think the Italia sounds fabtastic:

And anyway, I think that F355 has a aftermarket Capristo system.

Yeah, a similiar exhaust system on the 458 would probably be pretty good sounding I think.

I'm another one of the people that are liking the looks more now after seeing it a few times.

I think the 458 just doesn't sound as rev happy, but anyway.

If someone can tell me the song in this clip I'll be very greatful:

^yup. Although some people will call the flappy paddles "manual" too...

So I heard no manual gearbox for this car?

Yep, judging by the sales of the F430 the number of manual buyers was so low (less than 5% of buyers) that Ferrari decided to just concentrate on making the 458 Italia with the double-clutch gearbox.

Of course, they won't say that the market dictated that decision...they will say that Ferrari was always about ultimate performance, and up until now the "automatic" or "automated manual" was inferior to the manual, but now with their world-class technical brilliance, it's now a "better car" because it's not a manual. <_<

Yeah, it's a real shame that they let the market dictate their decision. They should still offer a manual option, no matter how good their "F1 Sequential DSG 7-speed clutch flappy paddles" are.

*Sigh*
