We had a guy like that as well. The cadet officer had to drag him behind the concrete shield.
Training grenades anyway, but when they are that close they are like a flashbang.

And the guy in the gif isn't even a recruit, it's a sergeant.

The grass camouflage on his helmet makes him look like a clown too :D

Yeah, I love how he just looks into the trench and waits for the grenade to go off. :lol:
 
You can almost see the gears turning in his head, reaching the conclusion of "GTFO you moron!" just a second before the grenade goes off.
