Back again, no more Miata

Sorry to hear about the MX5. It was very tastefully modded and must have been fun to drive.

Here's two quick shots of the parts that have arrived so far. You can see the R1 carbs, the ITG filter, the radiator hosing and the baffled sump insert.

After talking to a few drivers at the RAFMSA event, I'm still a little un-nerved by the constant fettling a carb set-up like this requires. However, after simply hearing the noise these things made on a Firenza with a C20XE, I'm more than keen to get all the bits in and get the project flowing.

Well, it is not a Nova or a Saxo. That's a plus, right?

I see it and I think of a Pontiac LeMans. Seems like this Astra was an answer to a Peugeot 205?

Blimey, never heard of the LeMans before but it definitely shares most of the exterior bits with the Astra! It was more an answer to the Ford RS Turbos to be honest than the GTis.

Yeah, this gen Astra, which was a fairly decent car when it was new, became the basis for a lot of truly terrible cars later, such as that Pontiac which I'm assuming is a rebadge of the Daewoo LeMons, and later the Daewoo Nexia.

Knowing I was about to join the air force, the council delayed any claim I was trying to make until it was detrimental to my application to continue it. I sure felt grateful for all those years of council tax I've been paying.

Bastards.

Your new ride is nice, though.

That MX5 had some nice flush fitment on the rear! Shame about the accident. You have something completely different now, and very mint! Haven't seen one for years!
