Jeremy's accent

I bet he had a lot less license back then to have his classic inappropriate one liners like he does now, its a different context.

Watching old Top Gear is very much like a serious car magazine, whereas current Top Gear is all about fun.

They'd of sacked him if he said "Or you recline, like you're a Victorian Prostitute"

I guess it's like the yukky FM Disc Jockey accent in the states. See Ryan Seacrest or Jon Davis on Motorweek.

Americans sound American - we get most stuff easily, just not some of the 'way out' accents, and the odd word is different, a word we would not use for instance, sometimes we get it sometime we guess by context - Difficult accents. ... Ozark Mountains springs to mind, heavy Bronx, and some ghetto speak when they are using multiple diffent words.

Funny though on Amazon there was one American complaining he did not understand Sir Laurence Olivier in Henry V, the greatest communicator in the English Language in the last 100 years. .... Really.

I like how you resurrected a 1.5 year old thread from a shallow grave.

Method of choice: construction workers?
