Makers of GTA Looking for New Staff
Scottish developer Rockstar North looking for a plethora of new developers. Could this be for Grand Theft Auto V?
Yesterday the internet was awash with discussion and deliberation regarding the inevitable sequel, Grand Theft Auto V. Rumours emerged that an announcement concerning a new title in the world's most successful series was imminent and that Hollywood would be the game's setting. As usual Rockstar remained stoically silent, not commenting on rumour or speculation but today seven new job postings for the Scottish developer have been discovered by specialist outlet, Connected Consoles.
The job advertisements include:
- Environment Artists
- Online Architect
- Physics Programmer
- Systems Programmer
- Character Animators
- C Programmer, Audio Department
- AI Programmer
Obviously these positions could be for any project, but there are some intriguing details amongst the respective job requirements including Rockstar North wanting an individual who possesses "exceptional skill in animating realistic human characters", and the experience of developing titles on both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
The Scottish developer are currently working on the Playstation 3 exclusive Agent, so these positions could be to bolster that game's existing team, but if that is so, why ask for applicants to be experienced on Microsoft's platform as well?
Whatever the case, the speculation surrounding Grand Theft Auto V will surely go on and on, until the inevitable big-budget reveal which will occur at some point in the future.
