Random Thoughts....

I'm being dragged tonight to something that sounds suspiciously like a double date...

Popped into my old school yesterday unannounced. Freaked everybody out. :p

Next time leave the longcoat and the machinegun at home....

re: lol caffeine does nothing to me. Yeah... unless you consume caffeine every day (tolerance to caffeine is very easy to achieve) you are not immune and just don't notice the effects. What caffeine doesn't do is make you bounce off the walls. If you're already wide awake it won't make you any more awake, it mostly just makes you less drowsy for a while. Its effects take a half hour to fully take effect so you don't even notice when it does. You guys are silly. Try drinking either a coffee/tea or an energy drink an hour before you plan on going to bed (assuming you're not absolutely knackered) and then try to tell me you're immune to caffeine when you're still awake a couple hours later.

Entirely. Fortunately, for once, I meant it to be that way.

I honestly don't want to offend you this time, but I read it as "I whore myself out for a new bra." - that's what I was asking If you meant it, you really wanted to say that?

QFT.

Also, I just took a benadryl yesterday and hit the bed at midnight. I woke up now at 11:24 AM.

GREAT SUCCESS!

Lol.
Try Expresso and a 2 hour nap less than a half hour later. I assure you I am immune.

Well F me in the A. I got a filling earlier in the year on a tooth that is all kinds of screwed. It grew out of my gums way far into my mouth (like it was so far towards the center of my mouth that you probably could've fit another tooth in the spot that it was supposed to be) so I had that one tooth corrected with a dental appliance. Blah blah blah, that tooth had a cavity earlier this year, my dentist says that it's also rotated and practically pinching a nerve and when he filled it in he said it was pretty much 50-50 that I might have to get a root canal. Well, looks like that's what's going to happen! Gotta call the dentist's office this week, joy of joys.

Anyone know anything about record players?

I found a Sony PS-FL7 for sale for $60 at a local record shop. The thing looks awesome, and I've never seen anything like it. Is that a good deal or not?

That is an interesting concept. As long as it is fully functional, 60 would be a fair market price. One problem I can foresee is that I can't imagine that thing will be cheap or easy to repair if it breaks. Also, make sure the stylus is in good condition before using it or else you may ruin your records. I've got a Chicago LP that was played with a bad stylus and it now has this really loud tearing sound behind the music.

God I hate ratios :(

Welcome to my world. I'm a Information Technology in Business Education major, and have no plans on teaching but still have to take multiple accounting, and economics classes

They suck, I'm failing Managerial Accounting (with practically no way to recover) and I'm thinking of switching to sociology or library science because of it, screw being stuck in college for more years when I could graduate sooner and deal with a job i like...just not as much as what I'd be doing had I stuck it out...

God I hate the four P's. :p

I'm doing an engineering degree. Why do I have a business studies module again?

To see the position of the engineering within the business processes of the company. All organisations have an element of business, they only function so long as their is an input stream of cash (or you can borrow it) to facilitate your project. It is probable that the Project you work on is only viable if it can save expense or is a saleable product - see Wheeler Dealers (Mike does the business and Ed the engineering, but if Mike says he can not make money then it does not get done - or a cheaper option is selected)?

Oh and record decks - Linn Sondeck - LP12 with a decent cartridge if you can afford one. The other famous deck is the Technics LP12 and later LP1210

He wants to be Ed, not Mike

Who does want to be Mike...? :p Nah I guess it does make some sense to have a business module, however (and while I guess it is still only the first year with very little specialisation) it is pretty much equally taught as our maths/physics module.
