Wow, I haven't been in the New York Subway in a long time. Makes the Boston T look luxurious.

And also, tell me how this works!

Underground, but the tracks are at walking height. Boston....

According to wikipedia, the Green Line is a streetcar system which is underground only downtown, but in the outlying areas on the surface.
Boston has a separate subway-system which is conventional with non-level rails.

P.S.: Hamburg (which has one subway line which stretches out to Norderstedt) does have some nice subway-stations, but most of them are bland or even ugly, and I have to say the nicest stations don't stand a chance against the communistic ones.

That's because in free countries we dont throw good money after bad, no point having marble stations when all our stations are filled with homeless people urinating, and buskers playing shit music.

This is Mr. Bell playing in the DC tube station. Watch the whole video for a surprise.

The question asked, do people perceive beauty? Yes, but very few can do so with their ears, they are not trained as such.

If you will excuse me, I am going to listen to BWV 578 which is, to me, an ear orgasm.

Yeah yeah, I know all that. I used to love going to Boston and just randomly riding around the T with my grandpa when I was little. I was just being a bit sarcastic I guess. And you were being a bit German :p

EDIT: Also, fun fact about the MBTA Green line. The new Type 8 cars were designed by Pininfarina

Remember where this conversation started? :p

For every Joshua Bell there are 1 million jackoffs strumming shitty acoustic guitar music. The reason the people walked by is because they are classically conditioned to the shitty music, so any application of aural stimulus results in "move on".

Clearly the communists thought that nice, luxurious buildings shouldn't be just for the rich. The workers should get to enjoy marble too.

Noo, let's have another communist building instaed!

There's an awesome picture of it above the clouds somewhere, but I have to go to class right now and I don't have time to look for it.

Edit: Found on you know where.

While on the subject of communist buildings, we can't forget Chauchescu's palace in Romania. Yes, that's where TG race was filmed.
