We music lovers/nerds/nazis tend to pride ourselves with our brilliant highbrow taste.
Of course my favourite song is Pink Floyd's "Echoes" and for relaxation i listen to the drone goodness of Sunn O))), while i despise the Beatles' "naive phase" and hate bubblegum pop.
But let's be honest: When does one have the time to really listen to a twenty-minute song in it's full length? How often does one really feel the need to have Mike Patton scream at oneself while Horgh is bashing the drums like a circus freak?
Even if playback from Vinyl or CDs is part of the mix, too, the "most played" statistic of one's MP3 player software paints a different picture: It might not show what we like best, but it shows what we listen to the most.
So, post your ten or twenty most played songs! And be honest!
1. Flowers on the Wall - the Statler Brotehrs
2. Stray Cat Strut - Stray Cats
3. Patters - Simon & Garfunkel
4. You Don't Know Where Your Interest Lies - Simon & Garfunkel
