Idiots + Winter - The FAIL Collection Thread

How could they POSSIBLY not have known? He hits it with the back tires, then the front tires, THEN THE PLOW. It is rocked and pushed. There's no way they didn't know, at least after the first couple of hits. The film may become very useful if the owner is given a hard time.

I re watched it again, and you're right. And the comments say that they were ordered to get the FEL out no matter what. But...daaamn.

How about letting the owner at least TRY to get their truck out of the way first? Or letting them know up front what was going to happen.

Theres quite a bit of colorful language in this video. Especially if you turn it up to hear what the woman is yelling on the street.

Am I the only one who got a "Hey Paulie!" vibe from that? Or is that how most neighborhood discussion happens in NYC?

Nope, would have had to work from home. Which would have been hell, considering that I take tech support calls and live with my family, have guests for the holidays, do not have a headset, and do not have a room where I can be alone and be in range of wi-fi.
That sux, we have the same job btw :p
@CrazyRussian,
This is why I'm happy I have off the street parking :)

Aww how nice of the city to employ the cognitively impaired!

"boss told us to get the FEL out, so, the FEL is out, what the hell more do you want?" :p

We got 14 inches and a ton of branches down and we are handling fine, just because city dwellers can't handle some snow doesn't mean all of the east are pusses.

Indeed. Blizzard on Sunday, roads and sidewalks clean on Monday. Massachusetts can handle what snow we get just fine.

We got 3 inches on Thursday, tomorrow is Thursday again, roads clearing up just now as we speak.......because it's thawing!

Why are we paying these people again?

Plows went by literally every 5 minutes at some points during that storm. They even kept going after it was over for some reason, I guess the plow drivers were bored.

I got stuck behind 5 snow plows blocking all three lanes of traffic at 15 mph on 495. The road was clear in front of them..... (well, as clear as it was behind them).

We have proper plows too, big trucks with plow attachments, not some sissy things that I've seen in videos.

Man, even The Onion's got something.

(slightly relevant)

Fuck trucks. My town runs these.

Those work to get rid of the heaps created by plows, or to do the initial work on thick layers of snow. We're using excavators and articulated loaders as well, but not as plows - to remove snow mountains.

my town runs these, and these are the smaller trucks

How would that smaller truck go about plowing my street? For that you need one of those:

No, those don't also plow the Autobahns. Unimogs FTW.

Hah, n00bs. We use graders around here. They're fucking massive...

In Utah we use a combination of equipment:

Yes, that is the size of the ones we use. Once I was up a Brighton and two of these were working to clear the state parking lot. I had to punch through two large snowbanks that were taller than my Jeep Cherokee Sport. The funny thing is that the guy with the giant lifted Ford F350 waited for my little Jeep to make a hole and then he followed me.

They also use large 10-wheel trucks with V-shaped plows to cut the first pass through a road with other plows following in formation.

That's what they use here in Ohio.

In theory, I mean. I've never actually SEEN them on the roads...... But they keep telling us they exist.

I got stuck behind one of these formations on the highway the other day.... 15 mph for half an hour before I took an exit. It would be one thing if they were clearing the road - but the road was perfectly serviceable in front of them <_<
