Mr. Old Man Merc
I liked Shift quite a bit, but I played on my PC and had a wheel that was adjusted properly to play with.

My problem with both GRID and Shift was that despite being marketed as "Become a racing driver!" title, it didn't feel I was a racing driver... The main reason was that races were 3, 4, at most 6 laps long. And I was expected to win them starting 7th or 10th. While I could win them, it didn't feel all that realistic, unless I'm the reincarnation of Senna...
I do hope they offer a more realistic way for us to drive in Shift 2, at least an option to choose from arcade or sim. And if the races remain at 5 laps, at least put a quali session in there or something.
From that article on the physics that was posted:
That's a sure way to please neither...
For those saying Shift was no more realistic than Grid, watch this:
That physics engine has nothing in common with reality. 200+mph through eau-rouge in a GT1 car? Yeah...right.
vs Shift (not quite the same car, but fairly close)
Not shown: what would happen if you tried the same stunt in Shift. You have the option to brake in GRID, too
Not to mention both games have many options and settings that can make them more or less realistic.
a bit OT but it's nice to see you posting more Paddy, your shots are the stuff i look forward to

You do know there's a custom body shop near the crater in TDU1, which lets you paint the car any colour you want?
The pictures look great. Shift had the best cockpit views.
