Not sure if this is the best place to put this, but I am doing a presentation for a site design class and I found this gem of a video I would like to put at the end. Only problem is that I would like to have the video file itself. I tried fraps, but I couldn't get it to work properly. The presentation is Monday.

I will acknowledge original creator.

Prop a video camera in front of the monitor/tv like half of the videos on Youtube.

Use Firefox and get a plugin called Downloadhelper. Once you start playing the video in the browser, you can click the DownloadHelper icon in the browser and it will show you the file. You can then just download it.http://www.downloadhelper.net/

AAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWW YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH

I love that program.

One more thing which is independent of which browser you use (Firefox will never get onto my HDD): ClipNabber.com

I use "Downloadhelper" and also "Sothink Web Video Downloader" as plugins for Firefox. But as NecroJoe already said: Simply click on "download".

Registration for Vimeo is free, as long as you don't upgrade to the "plus packge".

thanks guys

No, no, no. The real 1337 way is to hack a MacBook in western Russia. You will then upload a program that will commandeer user's browser and direct user to the video in question, which will then be auto-downloaded to his machine in an encrypted folder. The file will then be uploaded in pieces via the user's email account to an offshore FTP server, which you will then access with a ghosted gateway and download the pieces which are then assembled by extracting them from their respective .rar folders.

Bonus points if the container is converted to Matroska video.

Once again, you are wrong. the 1337 way is to pay a lackie to do it for you while you sleep with a hot underwear model.
