I was in my second last year of school in 1990 - Pah!

I'd left school, been to college, worked for some years, and was just about to go to Uni in 1990.

I left school in 1975 (NB 6th former). ? FTW!

And in 75 I was starting secondary school. Wasn't everything still done on abacuses (abacii?) back then? (Sorry, but it's not often I meet someone online who's older than I am )
