a shepherds pie that came across a steam roller?

What is it? Some uber-calzone without sauce?

a shepherds pie that came across a steam roller?

Looks like a Torta de Frango to me

It?s a staple of southern Brazilian junk food, but usually in a size suitable to one person.
It?s somewhat like a burger: tomato, lettuce, corn, peas, mayo, cheese, egg and the protein of your choice (beef, bacon, chicken, etc). Everything is then pressed, otherwise you wouldn?t be able to bite it. In this case it has everything I metioned before plus bacon, chicken, beef, sausage, cream cheese and straw potatoes, but in a huge size. :D

Dinner today: http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/ricotta_dumplings_01916

It was lovely. I kinda ignored the recipe when it came to "Serves 4", because it didn't look like much in raw form so I made a double batch. :p

Having now eaten it I can tell you they are VERY filling (and delicious) and that recipe is more than enough for 4 adults, prolly 5 or 6 if you have kids.

Found this today: http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2011/may/26/cooking-pork-safely-the-science

Particularly older people should read that, given that they often cook pork to death and beyond. ;)

Went to Arun's last night, my uncle took me out since he was in town for a conference. Delicious, I got pictures of every dish except the 1st course, which I forgot. So I'll post em up when I get home. It was 12 courses of the best Thai food I've ever had, he took traditional flavors and elevated them to a haute cuisine level.

Made way too much, I'll be eating this for the entire week. Anybody wants to drop by and help me get rid of it? :p

whats in it.. looks absolutely delicious.

Multigrain macaroni, sweet corn, spring onion, red pepper, ground beef and a dash of creme fraiche to make it nice and moist.
