Whoa! I wonder how much less complicated a more mainstream lens looks.
 
Which lens is that? Obviously a Nikkor seeing the watermark, but which model?
 
Never read Cockwell's stuff (the wibsite isn't well laid out, I don't like it enough to bother). What is the major gripe with him?

Let's take, for example, how he thinks that adjusting the temperature slider on a JPEG is the same as changing the white balance on a RAW file. That should tell you everything you need to know about him.
