My Processing mini-project for the day:

One million "random" lines on a 500*500px square.

Okay, I'll play. Here's mine done via like 5 lines of PHP (I included the nice verbose source code with inline documentation instead though). Took me about 15 minutes to write (and like 5-10 seconds to execute) but only because I couldn't remember the names of all of the image manipulation functions and so I to look up their names in the PHP documentation. :?

Am I the only one who thought this thread would be about a completely different type of line?

A million of them would be pretty impressive, although not great for the health of the person 'doing' them.
 
I think you should try a little experiement. Get it printed on canvas, go take it to an art auction, see how much you get for it. I bet someone will buy it. Then after you just say, jokes on you fool, that took me 10 minutes and I didnt even buy a brush, or paint.
 
I'm betting if I just draw a picture on a 500 pixel canvas it will get up to 1,000,000 lines.
I will post a more attractive picture than that when I am done :p

Do you think these people really care whether it was painted or not? I mean, in the 1930s they could get a urinal from a public restroom into an art gallery and people would just accept it.
 
You can pirate it if it digital, like other art such as writing and music. :lol:
