Your Camera Equipment

Looking forward to selling my D60 and getting a D90 while they still have new ones in stock over here :). I hope I can pull this off in time.

I'd love to get a D7000 but it's too expensive. Let's hope the D90 breaks and I get a D7000 instead like some other lucky guys over here...

UPDATE: I finally managed to get rid of the D60 + 18-55 and I have just ordered a D90 body. Can't wait for it to arrive on sunday morning.

Enjoy its such a superior camera to the D60, you will enjoy it very much. I used to own a D90 til I upgraded to a D7000 and have a D60 body as a secondary backup although I never use it, lol. Your lens options will open up greatly. Look into used AF-D prime lenses you can probably find used ones for cheaper.

Yup, I will. I already have the nifty-fifty AF-D which wasn't very easy to use with the D60 because I had to manually focus through a very small viewfinder. Also I think I'll enjoy those dedicated buttons :).

Also if you read the online instructions the D90 has a wireless flash trigger function when used with Nikon brand flashguns like the SB600, 700, 800, and 900, which used the on board popup flash on the camera, this is great if you want to do off camera flash shots, heres a tutorial how to activate the function in the submenus

I'm sure it will be fine, I use off-the-shelf PNY Class 10 (SD) and haven't noticed any such problems during continued test recording (5-10 min at a time) @ 1080p/30 HQ. Of course 4GB card will fill up rather quickly but I'm sure you already know that.

I have been looking to get a Ultrawide for a long time, and never really got around to it. Finally went for it, because Abe's has $65 off of certain Sigma lenses. So I bought the Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM, and hopefully I didn't get one of Sigma's duds.

Just received my ZD 50mm f2.0

That is one of the sweetest lenses in production today. Congrats.

I got some new stuff!

Nikon SB-600 Speedlight. I've only been messing around with it for a few hours and I absolutely love it so far! I should have bought one a long time ago.
Nikon ML-L3 remote release
Hoya 72mm circular polarizer. Something else that I should have bought a long time ago.
Opteka white balance cards
Lenspen

So my current setup is all that plus:
Nikon D80
Nikkor 18-200mm 3.5-5.6 G ED VR-I
Nikkor 50mm 1.8D
Sigma 105mm DG Macro
Tiffen 52mm circular polarizer
Kenko 72mm multi coated UV protector
Fotopro C4-i tripod
Lowepro Adventura 170 bag
Highkey red argyle strap
Bokeh Masters kit

Wow when did I get so much gear? Less than a year ago I was sporting just a D40 and the 18-55 kit lens. I should be set for a while now.

Non-serious answer: Google 'G.A.S.'

Staying on topic, finally got a half decent tripod

Manfrotto 190 MF3 Mg-CF hybrid legs + 498RC2 ball head = total cost $300

If after renting the Lensrentals Chess Set you decide you just have to have one of your very own (or perhaps need a gift for that special photographer in your life), they are available for purchase for $151,202.17. But move quickly, this won?t last long at this price.
 wow, that's amazing.

A bargain if ever I saw one. Wouldn't make me any less shit at chess though.
