Idiots+motorcycles=LOL

There's no problem in selling a lifestyle, even with a bad product, as long as the customer is clearly aware that you are trying to sell the lifestyle and not pushing them into some emotional trickery.

As a former Harley owner, they definitely try emotional trickery. See that H-D sales guide I reposted on the last page.

Yes, that's clear trickery.

Looks like someone's gonna be needing a new clutch.

^ :lmao:

Yesterday it finally dropped back down into the 80's here and the fair-weather Harley cruiser crowd was out in force. A (non-gearhead) friend of mine noticed and asked me if riding something that huge was any fun. I said ask your father not really, at least compared to something sportier/faster/lighter/smaller. Which is just about anything else.

Hey, I can't even do a burnout. Of course, I've never tried to, but I'm too scared of dropping it. Maybe when the next tires need to be replaced I'll give it a shot.

Not interested in wheelies though, too hard on the forks and chain.

This was the one and only time I ever did this! I was scared of dropping and everything that could go wrong but I must admit it was fun.
It wasn?t planned, hence all the giggling from the guy filming it.

I played it with the sound off, Kiki is studying.

Okay, it's just a simple lowside. It happens to the best of us. But the idiocy here, was a mistake that both rider and passenger made before even getting on the bike.

Is there anyway out of a low-side on a motorcycle like there is on a bicycle? or are you pretty much screwed?

Depends on the circumstances. It is sometimes possible to get the low-side into a slide and then back up, but the risk is that you turn it into a high-side, which is infinitely worse so most people don't try. Jamie Hacking tried to save one in 2007, didn't make it, got ejected in a thankfully small highside.

Same corner in 2009, he did manage to do it.

The other thing that works is to have a bike with large crash hoops so that when it rolls onto them, it tends to just roll back off before getting past the tipping point.

You mean the fact that they are riding a Harley? :p

It's happened a few times when I'm riding off a curb while turning pedal side down. It's a really scary feeling, but I've managed to save it every time.

On a curb like this.

And yes, as spectre said, most of the time you can just put your foot down, but I've done it without too. The whole bike goes up on the pedal and rotates. Pretty freaky.

Riding the gap without gear is quite retarded....blocking the entire lane whilst your crew kicks the tires is even more so.

While I am not a fan of the larger Harley bikes some of their smaller offerings have their appeal.

HD look cool (for the most part) there is no denying that but the quality/performance is just not there.
