Diecast Models

Great Scott, that is one hell of a collection! Colour me jealous!

You're jealous that you're not insane? :p

I counted 140 cars, lets say they cost on average $100 (and they probably cost a lot more, probably closer to $150-$200 avg.) each, so he probably spent around $14,000 - $25,000+ on them...and he obviously has to fill in that 2nd cabinet, so that's 52 more cars and that's another $5,200-$10,000+...:shock2:

Faultier, you are insane, but the good kind of insane. :D

That's a type of insanity I would gladly live with :p

thanks guys.

yap I?m insane but happy
I gave up couting the money or the models.

The passion drives me and thats were the mind shuts down anyway

Here's my newest car.

Crappy iPhone photo is crappy.

Kyosho ?60 reduced from ?100 in my "local" model shop.

Ky did a descent job on this Urraco :)

Nice updates by everyone while I've been away!

I was going to say: Was I the only one to have picked up a White Macca F1?

... And then I saw Faultier's latest two additions :p

I?m close to age 30 but my mind still works well so no double models here for me as well

Here are my latest additions.

Corvette C1, Lambo Gallardo Super Trofeo and Lambo Espada.
All from AutoArt.

The C1 is the start of my little Corvette-Subcollection, the Espada
is the one I always wanted in this blue shade because the real one
in the lambomuseum has the same color.

And the Gallardo Super Trofeo is such a mean looking Lambo and really
looks aggressive in its orange color. I bought it for my Lambocollection
and also to help myself coping with the waiting time for the Superleggera.

C1, C5 and C6 in front of a new great book about Corvettes.
If you like Corvette you really should get this book.
Models of a C2, C3 and C4 are already on my wish-list

I also got my phone collection together in one spot. Its not as big as Faultier's but I like it.

My next one will be the 1:18 AutoArt T5-R wagon (in yellow of course). Followed by the 850 BTCC Sedan. Depending on how much money I'll be making during the semester I might even get the other 850s (red/black 850Rs from AutoArt and HPI)

All that needs to happen now is for HPI to make 1:43 versions of the sedans, and for AutoArt to make 1:18 versions of the BTCC wagons.

I still like the yellow scale 18 Volvo :)

Well, cars made it back safe on flight from Germany- probably because I was clutching them like a newborn baby. :p

The cars on this shelf are very different, but share one common trait- a turbocharger (or two).

the Z-Tune is rare and brutal one, congrats

Thanks- it's an awesome model and a very interesting car.

This arrived on Saturday- I lowballed someone selling this on eBay and my offer was accepted in a couple hours. I was pleasantly surprised. My 250 GTO now has a more attractive stable mate.

Kyosho '71 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 (pop up head light version :woot: )

yap the nicest Daytona ever.
I have it in black - miami vice style :D

I'm going with plain stupid. Those diamonds just look ridiculous.

The Ducati Desmosedici RR was my most sought after 1:18 scale motorcycle, and I was finally able to add it my collection a few days ago.

You can pick one up from the McLaren shop. Forgot the price but it's a hell of a lot! :p <edit> yup, 199 pounds...

Maybe when I've caught up on all the Formula One models (13 at last count and soon to add the 2008, 2010 and eventually 2011 editions) I'll add one but until then.

Anyone know where I can get a decent (not too expensive either) 1:18 scale case for multiple models? When I find one I'll post the results :)

I just bought an Autoart Zonda, too, but not the bare carbonfibre-version but the one with white portions. Should be with me at the end of the week. :mouse:

Pictures are in this thread in another forum.

I got some aftermarket decals for some of my McLarens as the original ones were starting to decay and a full Marlboro livery beats the non branded McLaren logo any day! I started with my 1:18 1992 MP4/7 Berger and with some acetone, scotch tape and a razor blade stripped it back to the bare red and white livery. Then it was a simple case of applying the new decals!

Yes, it still needs a thorough clean :p.

Next up is my 91 and 93 Sennas, 94 Brundle and I have a couple of West sheets but I'm undecided whether to do the 98, 99 or 00 McLarens, or use one to repair the 01 Hakkinen :p

Alright, managed to get a DSLR so I'll photograph every diecast model I have over the weekend. :)

At first, the CMC Bugatti Type 57 Atlantic:

Then the AutoArt Pagani Zonda R:

And for the moment the last pic, a Lamborghini Miura SV:
