Dad expressed interest in getting a dog tonight. I pulled up the list of available dogs at the local shelter on my phone - 2. Seems everyone has cleared out the kennels, which is awesome for the doggos, but not for people still looking.
Sadly, I doubt it will happen for us. He won't want the dog in the house - especially not a big dog (he was talking German Shepherd or Staffy like our workmate's dog), and we don't have fences.
Dog gives me a good excuse to get out of the house and go for a walk. What's ironic is that was the main reason my wife gave me to get a new dog, yet I'm the one enjoying it these days.
Sometimes I'd like a dog as a reason to go out for a walk, however it's not something I would look forward to on dark mornings or evenings and I know I wouldn't like having a dog around the house generally.
Lexi is not exactly demanding at the moment.
Well, when she feels like it. This is the position I'm often greeted with when I get up, demanding back scritches. Love that ginger and white belly fluff.
I'm working from home and she has joined me on my lap a few times, which is nice but makes typing difficult as I have to lean the chair back or she doesn't fit!
I'm not sure that this little guy qualifies as a 'pet', but he certainly is cute! When I went to the garage today to get the lawnmower, he was sitting on the latch. He's a tree frog and apparently climbed up there using his suction-cup-like toes. My only guess as to why would be that insects seem to like areas with white or otherwise light backgrounds and he was sitting there waiting for lunch to fly by!
I love the look she's giving you in this photo and the one further up, I can't decide if it's mischievous or if she just wants you to go away. Having had her sleep on me and stick her arse in my face it's probably mischievous.
